Bobi Style Guide: Summer 2011

Trend: Crop Top

Yes ladies the crop top is back, but don’t worry about how toned or untoned your midriff is just yet. This season bobi’s crop top comes in a large variety of colors, fabrications and silhouettes. For the les
s brave fashionista try pairing your crop top with high-waisted pants, shorts or skirts to minimize exposure while staying on trend. You can also layer your look by wearing a fitted tank underneath. This summer you can bring this 80’s inspired trend back to life, like Sienna Miller, by wearing this fun and flowy bobi light weight jersey crop top as well as any other great bobi crop top.

Bobi Europe

We interviewed Thomas Ullrich who is bobi Europe’s Managing Director. He started bobi Europe in 2008 and partnered with bobi USA. Thomas Ullrich has grown bobi into a big European label. Bobi has a showroom in every country in Europe and it hangs in better department stores and boutiques.

Thomas Ullrich

How did you get started in the fashion industry?
During the last years of University I enjoyed shopping at a boutique where I became friends with the manager. Later I proposed to him that he open up a store with me as his partner. I started my fashion business career with 2 of my own boutiques for menswear. In 1994, my experience as a buyer for my own stores led me into wholesale business and I founded my first agency DPartment, which imported British brands to Germany. See full CV on www.thomasullrich.info.

How did you start the current company?
EFSN is a concept that I developed 2006. My goal was to launch a full service distribution for US labels in Europe covering all areas with the support of a network of free agents.

How many and what countries in Europe Carry Bobi?
Currently we offer Bobi in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, UK, Switzerland and Austria.

What are some of the bigger Europe Stores that carry bobi?

How would you describe bobi if you were talking in terms of marketing and sales?
The beauty of the product bobi is the combination of simplicity and sophistication. On the first look, the line looks basic and simple, but when you actually slip into a bobi dress you instantly get this fantastic “second skin” feeling of the lightweight cotton and it gives you a sophisticated shape. The variety of stores and consumers we can sell to is huge. Out of all the products I’ve ever distributed bobi has the best sell out rate in the stores.
